Fair terms, plain language.
These terms govern your use of WedKit. We've kept them readable — but they're still legally binding, so please read them.
Last updated: February 7, 2026
The basics
By using WedKit (“the Service”), operated by Wedkit (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using WedKit, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. One account per person, please — don't share credentials. Use the collaborator feature to give your partner or planner their own access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used for illegal purposes, or have been inactive for an extended period. We'll give you reasonable notice when possible.
Subscriptions & payments
WedKit is a paid subscription service billed through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel.
14-day refund window: If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. After that, payments are non-refundable. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
If we change our prices, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice. The new price takes effect at your next renewal.
Your content
You own your content. Wedding details, photos, guest lists, and everything else you upload remains yours.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account.
We will never sell, sublicense, or use your content for advertising. We will never use your content to train AI models. Your wedding is not our training data.
You represent that you have the right to upload any content you share through the Service and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.
Custom domains
WedKit includes a free custom domain as part of your subscription. We register domains on your behalf through our registrar partner (Gandi). You are the beneficial owner of any domain we register for you.
Domain registration renews automatically alongside your subscription. If your subscription ends, you have a 30-day window to transfer your domain to another registrar. After 30 days, we may release the domain and are not obligated to maintain it.
Domain registration is subject to ICANN policies, including the obligation to provide accurate registrant contact information. You agree to comply with applicable domain registration policies and acknowledge that certain registrant information may be made publicly available as required by ICANN.
Encryption & data loss
This is important. WedKit uses end-to-end encryption for guest data. Your password derives the encryption key. We operate on a zero-knowledge architecture — we cannot access, read, or recover your encrypted data.
This means: if you lose your password, your encrypted guest data is permanently unrecoverable. We cannot reset your encryption key or decrypt your data. There is no recovery process, no backdoor, and no support override.
You are solely responsible for maintaining your password and any exported backups of your data. We strongly recommend exporting your guest list regularly using the CSV export feature in your dashboard.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use WedKit to:
- Post illegal, defamatory, or obscene content
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
- Scrape, crawl, or automated-access the Service beyond normal use
- Circumvent security measures or access other users' data
- Distribute malware or engage in phishing
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Intellectual property
The WedKit platform — including its design, code, templates, icons, and branding — is our intellectual property (or licensed to us). Your subscription gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for creating your wedding website.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on our platform. This doesn't affect your ownership of your content (see above).
Copyright (DMCA)
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid DMCA takedown notices. If you believe content on WedKit infringes your copyright, contact us:
Email: support@wedkit.io
Your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material with enough detail to locate it, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice with the required information under the DMCA.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure (beyond our documented encryption architecture). We are not responsible for data loss resulting from the zero-knowledge encryption design described above.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
Dispute resolution
Let's try to work it out first. Before filing any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@wedkit.io and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
If we can't resolve it, any dispute will be settled by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be conducted in Texas. The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any court.
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us individually. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
Small claims exception: Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court instead of arbitration.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Termination
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or extended non-payment. We'll notify you via email when possible.
After termination, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. If you have a custom domain, you have 30 days from termination to initiate a transfer to another registrar. Your encrypted guest data will be permanently deleted — remember, we cannot recover it for you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice via the email address on your account. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We'll always keep the current version available at this page with a clear “last updated” date.
General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WedKit regarding the Service. They supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, or third-party service failures.
